Smith undergoes surgery

South African captain Greame Smith has undergone a stomach surgery, which had caused him some problem over the last few years.

According to a United Cricket Board statement, Smith needed a valve in his stomach to be reconstructed, for it had never fully developed, and thus the surgery.

Smith will resume training next month, and hopefully will be fit by the time the Proteas tour Sri Lanka in July.
