CC1: Surrey too strong for Key(nt)
Saturday, May 29 2004The Oval: Surrey v Kent
One man not enough as Bicknell nails Key
Robert Key crossed 900 First Class runs for the season, but his career-best 199 against Surrey wasn't enough as his departure heralded a collapse of three wickets for three runs, before Mohammad Sami and Amjad Khan slogged their way to 49 for the last wicket.
Set 174 to win, Surrey's taskw as made inexplicably easier by the fact that openers Sami and Martin Saggers only bowled 7 overs between them, and Michael Carberry bowled 12 - for 67. Mark Ramprakash was the prime beneficiary, as his unbeaten 91 saw Surrey home in the 35th over.

Manchester rain brings draw
