Surrey 163 for 2 vs Northants
Scott Newman led the way for Surrey with an unbeaten 90 from only 104 balls. Northants are probably regretting their decision to bowl after winning the toss, but they did claim the wickets of Jonathan Batty (28) and Mark Ramprakash (34), claimed by Johann Louw and Stefan Jones respectively. Both fell immediately before rain breaks.
Warwickshire vs Gloucestershire
No play due to the rain.
Worcestershire vs Sussex
No play due to the ground being flooded.
