John Maunders was the Leicestershire star on a rain-curtailed first day's play.
Opening the batting, Maunders hit 15 fours and 2 sixes in his innings of 106 before he came Thomas Glover's second victim. Glover had earlier removed Darren Robinson for 26, but he was the only wicket-taker all day as stand-in captain Darren Maddy and Darren Stevens batted through to the close, with Maddy well set for a big score tomorrow if the weather relents.
