Notts officially sign Hussey
Sunday, February 15 2004English county Nottinghamshire have officially signed Victorian batsman David Hussey to a contract, according to which he will replace the county's first choice overseas batsman Damien Martyn, if and when he is called on international duty for Australia.
Hussey is the third Australian signee for Nottinghamshire for the coming 2004 season, Martyn and Stuart MacGill being the first two preferences.
Hussey has scored four first class centuries this season in Australia, including an impressive 212 not out against New South Wales, which proved worthy of recommendation to the Notts from their original choice, former Australian captian Steve Waugh.
Hussey is expected to arrive at Trent Bridge in June and will remain until the end of the season.
