Lou Vincent continued his good run off form in scorin 94* as Auckland beat Canterbury by 3 wickets off the last ball of the innings.
Canterbury won the toss and batted first and made 200-9 off their 50 overs. The loss of regular wickets and some tight bowling by Tama Canning and Paul Hitchcock kept Canterbury under wraps. Michael Papps top scored with 45.
As with Canterbury, Auckland lost regular wickets and some very tight bowling by Canterbury, Auckland never got going except for Lou Vincent who made a match winning 94*

Wellington v Central Districts at Wellington
In a rain affected match which restricted each innings to 32 overs each, Central Districts beat Wellington by 7 wickets.
Matt Walker (61*) and Matt Bell (41) top scored for Wellington as they made 176-6 off their 32 overs. Lance Thompson picked 2-28.
19 year old Ross Taylor made an unbeaten 81 off 76 balls as C.Districts made 179-7 off 29.4 overs. Matt Sinclair made 27 as did Jarred Englefield.

N.Districts v Otago at Gisborne
Otago won this match by 15 runs. Batting first Otago made 214 all out with Gareth Hopkins (44) and Mohammad Wasim (42) were top scorers as regular wickets falling and no batsmen building onto their starts. In-form Bruce Martin took 4-28 off 10 overs.
James Marshall (38) and Joesph Yovich (36) were top scorers as N.Districts again lost regular wickets and some tight bowling won the game for Otago.
