Day 1 Barbados vs Jamaica at Kingston, Jamaica.
Defending champions Barbados were made to struggle on the first day of their third round matchup against Jamaica. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, the Bajans were dismissed for 198 runs in 83 overs.
Sherwin Campbell (26) and Martin Nurse (14) opened the batting and added 26 for the first wicket before Cunningham (4/49) and the returning Jerome Taylor (1/25) grabbed a wicket each. From there in only Ryan Hinds (56), Antonio Myers (47) and Suleiman Benn (24) crossed 20 as the middle order collapsed. Myers and Benn added a valuable 52 runs for the third wicket, from 114/6.
In reply Jamaica reached 9/0 in the 5 overs they were made to face. Brenton Parchment resumes today unbeaten on 7 and Keith Hibbert yet to score.

Day 1 West Indies 'B' v the Leeward Islands at Charlestown, Nevis.
More encouraging signs from the West Indies 'B' team as they gave another positive showing in the 2004 Carib Beer Cup. Closing at 313/7, the youngsters have thus far managed to neutralize the admittedly weak Leeward Islands bowling without much trouble.
Jason Haynes (45) and Ryan Ramdass (32) batted well to post 57 for th first wicket. After a collapse that saw the score slip to 123/5, Danza Hyatt (65) and Patrick Browne (71 not out) managed to consolidate nicely to 218/6.
At stumps, Jason Bennett (27 not out) had put on 64 runs for the eighth wicket with Browne. Of the Leewards bowlers, Virgil Browne (3/77) was the star.

Day 1 Kenya v Trinidad and Tobago at Scarborough, Tobago.
Coming off their batting feast and bowling nightmare against the Leewards, the Kenyans were made to field once more, this time with much more success. Peter Ongondo and Martin Suji made early inroads as Jan (0), Ryan (2) and Kanhai (14) were dismissed to leave the score at 21/3.
In-form Dwayne Bravo (69) and Shazam Babwah then resurrected the cause by adding 142 runs for the fourth wicket. Bravo was then brilliantly caught by Patel off Ongondo's bowling. Kenton Thompson came and departed for his second duck in the second regional innings of his career - 163/5.
Resilient Gibran Mohammed (12) came and joined Babwah and played with stern defence whilst Babwah played his way to his maiden FC hundred in his third FC game, having been dismissed for 94 on debut.
A late slide saw 4 wickets fall for just 15 runs as the day closed with Trinidad and Tobago on 221/9. Babwah (100) was one of the wickets to fall.

Day 1 Guyana v The Windward Islands at Roseau, Dominica.
Mahendra Nagamootoo claimed 4/79 off an inhuman 42 overs on day one of Guyana's matchup against the Windward Islands. His efforts helped Guyana to restrict their opponents to 203/9 at stumps.
Electing to bat first, the Windwards lost openers Devon Smith (7) and Romel Currency (2) early in the piece - 17/2. Debutant Roland Wilkinson (64) then helped steady the ship, with Lindon James (27), but James and new batsman Sammy (4) fell within 4 runs of each other - 87/4.
Rawl Lewis put on 38 runs with Wilkinson but the latter departed to Nagamootoo ultimately. From there in, only Shillingford (18) gave any real support to his captain, as Lewis was out for a well-played 56.
