The score was at one point at 86/3 but Nurse destroyed the middle and lower order with his seam bowling, and only Ryan Austin (14 not out) showed any resistance. The innings lasted only 48.2 overs in total and Barbados came out with a healthy lead of 86 runs.

Batting in their second innings Barbados closed play having strengthened their stance considerably at 82/2. Sherwin Campbell did the bulk scoring before he was dismissed by Washington for 45 just before the close. Ryan Hinds (23 not out) and Floyd Reifer (0 not out) will resume this morning.

Day 2 Leeward Islands v Guyana at Enmore, Guyana.

The Leewards translated their overnight position into one of distinct control after a strong day two showing against bottom-of-the-table Guyana. Resuming on 234/5, Stuart Williams (79) and Wilden Cornwall (59 not out) helped the score reach 350 on the innings completion.

Travis Dowlin finished with the best figures for Guyana - 4/59 - and only Mohamed (3/83) took a wicket otherwise. Setting about to reply, Guyana lost Krishna Arjune early, caught for 1 off Sanford. Chattergoon (14) followed a bit after and Deonarine (44 not out) combined with Travis Dowlin (28) to resurrect the cause, until the latter was LBW to Sanford - 89/3.

Day 2 Kenya v Jamaica at St. Georges, Grenada.

A dramatic collapse saw Kenya lose five wickets for no runs as the score depreciated from 302/5 to 302 all out and Jamaica fought their way back into their fourth round matchup. In the unusual innings Jamaica used eight bowlers including Brenton Parchment, who took his first two FC wickets (2/1) having bowled only 2.1 overs preceding this match.

Earlier in the day Kenya batted very impressively, with nightwatchman Martin Suji adding 126 runs with Otieno for the third wicket. He ultimately perished to Richardson for 59 and his replacement Tikolo scored a good 63 until he fell to the same bowler. Andrew Richardson ended with 5/42. Kennedy Otieno went on to score a fine 104 before Bernard had him caught behind.

Facing just one over before the close, Jamaica survived for no runs.

Kenya 1st innings 302 ao (134 overs)
(Kennedy Otieno 104, Steve Tikolo 63, Martin Suji 59)
(Andrew Richardson 5/42, Brenton Parchment 2/1)

Jamaica 1st innings 0/0 (1 over)

Day 2 Windward Islands v Trinidad and Tobago at Port-of-Spain, Trinidad.

Some horrible batting was featured by almost all involved on day two of the game between Trinidad and Tobago and the Windwards. Admittedly there was some good bowling, but the batsmen largely manufactured their demise unnecessarily.

The Windwards resumed on 24/2 and Devon Smith looked good for his 23 before he was run out. Rawl Lewis strode to the crease, but walked back without impacting the score. Teen debutant Andre Fletcher looked aggressive in intent and got to 13. Dwayne Bravo accounted for both Lewis and Fletcher with 2/13 and the continuation of his fine allround season.

Darren Sammy and Shane Shillingford contributed 12 each but that was amidst a tremendous collapse which gave Amit Jaggernauth 3/8 and ended the innings at 73 - a deficit of 130 runs on first innings. With such a healthy lead, the hosts set about to build up an unbeatable target in seemingly good conditions for batting.

The openers added 34 when captain Imran Jan received was trapped by Butler for 5. Sherwin Ganga (17) and Ernil Ryan (31) were positive but eventually both batsmen gave away their wickets foolishly. Dwayne Bravo (22) was bowled by Shillingford and Babwah (2) contrived to topedge a rank long hop from Rawl Lewis. Kanhai then missed a sweep and was bowled by Shillingford, seeing the scoreboard read 94/5, having been 72/2 and 91/3.

Gibran Mohammed (19 not out) and Dave Mohammed (13) did some repair but it was really the 27-run stand between the former Mohammed and number eleven Jaggernauth (19) that helped the innings limp to 160 all out. Shillingford finished with 4/39 while Lewis and Deighton Butler took a couple of wickets each.

The Windwards will set about to chase 291 for victory today, with two full days at their disposal.

Trinidad and Tobago 1st innings 203 ao (72.4 overs)
(Dwayne Bravo 46, Sherwin Ganga 37, Aneil Kanhai 30)

Windward Islands 1st innings 73 ao (37.4 overs)
(Devon Smith 23)
(Amit Jaggernauth 3/8, Dwayne Bravo 2/13, Marlon Black/Reyad Emrit/Dave Mohammed 1 each)

Trinidad and Tobago 2nd innings 160 ao (64.2 overs)
(Ernil Ryan 31, Dwayne Bravo 22, Gibran Mohammed 19 not out)
