Mike Hussey called up

Australian selectors have called up Western Australian captain & batsman Michael Hussey to replace the injured Michael Bevan for Australia’s VB series match against India in Perth.
Simon Katich , who played against India in Sydney has been recalled as captain Ricky Ponting is rested for the Perth match.
Adam Gilchrist will also return to the side as captain after resting for the previous two matches , both against Zimbabwe.
Hussey , who has been one of the dominant batsman in ING cup cricket for the past 3 seasons , despite being below his best in the Pura cup competition.
Was preferred to Marcus North , Jimmy Maher , Darren Lehmann & his younger brother David.
Commenting on Hussey’s selection NSP chairman Trevor Hohns said “Michael Hussey has been knocking on the selection door for some time and we believe he deserved this opportunity , His form as one of the ING Cup's leading run-scorers this summer has been excellent and it is clear that he has played a big part in the Warriors' strong limited-over performances to date.”
The selectors will review the squad after the Perth match , it appears that one of either Hussey or Katich will make way for the returning Ponting for the VB series finals.
