State League Results
Friday, January 2 2004Two rounds of domestic womens cricket have been completed in New Zealand with Canterbury the pick of the sides so far.
Auckland's quest for five championship victories in a row started well against Otago, with two thrashings at Albany Stadium by eight and seven wickets respectively- gaining a bonus point in the first game.
However in the second round Auckland had a shock draw with Wellington at Linden Park, and even more shocking was the follow up effort, a nine wicket drumming.
Canterbury as always are Aucklands biggest threats, and have started with four easy victories. They faced Wellington in the first round and Central districts in the second.
Central Districts have had two victories (first round over Northern).
Otago and Northern Districts registered their first wins playing eachother in round two.
