Chris Harris was amongst the runs in the State Championship match against Auckland by making 103. Paul Wiseman chipped in with 44, along with a century to Michael Papps (130), and Peter Fulton continuing his good form with 68. Canterbury all out for 443. Barnes was the pick of the Auckland bowlers with 4-55.
Auckland made the perfect reply at stumps being 213-3 with Lou Vincent 115* and Rob Nicol 25*. Mark Richardson chipped in with 41. Aaron Redmond has all 3 wickets.
