New PCB chairman announced

The Pakistani Cricket Board has announced that 69 year old Shaharyar Khan , a member of the MCC & a highly respected politician , will take over from Tauqir Zia as chairman of the PCB.

Zia , who retired last week , issued a statement congratulating his successor & praising his passion for cricket.
Pakistani president & the PCB’s chief patron Pervez Musharraf welcomed Khan to his new role in a public statement , he also praised the work of the outgoing Zia , for his dedicated contribution to the uplift of the sport in Pakistan.
