Lee to undergo ankle surgery

Australian speedster Brett Lee will undergo a minor ankle surgery on March 23 in Sydney, after injuring the same in Sri Lanka. Lee returned home even before a single Test Match between the two countries was played, because of the injury.

The injury was sustained during a practice match against Board President's XI in Colombo, which resulted Lee's immediate return home.

Lee underwent further evaluation on the ankle in Sydney, which aroused the need for the surgery.

The surgery, and the rehabilitation to follow, will sideline Lee for an unknown amount of time.
