Shoaib signs with Durham

Controversial Pakistani pace bowler, Shoaib Akhtar has signed as Durham's second overseas player for the remainder of the 2003 English cricket season.

Akhtar will replace Dewald Pretorius who has been named in the South African Test squad to take on England over the course of this summer in a 5-match series. Fans can expect great exctement with the opening bowling combo of Shoaib and Harmison being the fastest on the county circuit.
