Game One - Brisbane

Blue-collar cricketer Shane Harwood stared as Australia 'A' began the series with a convincing win in game 1.

The Australians made 212 after being sent in, with Brad Hodge making 34, Andy Symonds 30 and Shane Harwood 29*.

For the tourists Charl Langeveldt took 3/55 and Nicky Boje 2/19.

The South Africans were then dismissed for 106, with Nathan Hauritz taking 3/33, while Gerald Dros top scored with 21.

Harwood followed up his 29* with 1/9 off 4 overs.

Game Two - Canberra

Brad Hodge put together a stunning all-round display as Australia took a 2-0 lead in the one-day series.

Hodge made 69 from 98 balls as Australia 'A' made 8/234 from their 50 overs.

Nicky Boje took 4/44 from his 10 overs and was supported by Justin Kemp with 2/33.

South Africa 'A' then fell 25 runs short of the target despite the brilliant platform set by openers Ahmed Amla (68) and Morne van Wyk with 60.

Hodge followed his 69 with 5/28 to top off a commanding display.

Game Three - Melbourne

Game cancelled due to rain.

Game Four - Hobart

South Africa 'A' finally struck form following an 8-wicket victory in Hobart.

Nathan Hauritz top scored with 33* as Australia 'A' crawled to 9/168.

Andre Nel took 3/18 for the South Africans while Charl Langeveldt took 3/26.

The tourists then chased the target down with 8 wickets in hand thanks to 94 from Morne van Wyk.

Mike Hussey and Nathan Bracken took 1 wicket each.
