Day 1 of SL vs NZ washed out

Day one of the second and last test between New Zealand and Sri lanka at Kandy has been abondoned without a ball being bowled.

Heavy overnight rain drenched the outfield and the umpires took just 5 minutes to send the players home. There was no time for a toss.

The weather was sunny so providing no more rain falls over the next 24 hours, play is looking 'hopeful' for today.
