Bank AlFalah Cup moved

Wednesday, May 14 2003

The four remaining matches in the triangular Bank AlFalah Cup between Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan have been rescheduled.

The three group matches and final were all scheduled to be played in Colombo, which is currently suffering from an exceptionally deep cyclonic weather system - and the associated extreme rainfall - that is forecast to continue well into the next week at the very least, rendering prospects of play "remote".

In response to this, the organisers have moved the matches to Dambulla - where the first three games have been played - and rescheduled them, with the final becoming a day match rather than the previously planned day-nighter. The modified schedule is:

May 18 Sri Lanka v Pakistan
May 19 New Zealand v Sri Lanka
May 20 Pakistan v New Zealand
May 23 Final
