Hussain supports Riverside

Wednesday, May 14 2003

Hussain, a former student at Durham University, said "The Riverside is a fantastic setting for international cricket and I've always enjoyed my cricket at Chester-le-Street."

The England test skipper poured lavish praise on the Durham devotees who have made next month's game against Zimbabwe, the first ever to be staged at the picturesque ground, a reality.

"The club has worked really hard to bring the ground up to
international standard and I really hope that the North East Public gets behind the club and supports the England v Zimbabwe npower Test Match".

Durham CCC chairman Bill Midgley said "I would like to thank Nasser for his kind words. It is nice that the hard work that has been put in here is appreciated and I hope
we can repay the compliment over the 5 days of the Test Match with a full house cheering England to victory".

Cricket Web seconds those thoughts.
