Bangladesh Take Victory
Sunday, July 6 2003Bangladesh have beaten Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy by 2 wickets to register their first victory on the tour of Australia.
Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy set Bangladesh 230 to win declaring at 203/4 with the captain A Nye 89 not out and C Ferguson 48 not out.
Bangladesh were up and down in their chase for victory but got there in the end thanks to some good middle order batting with Mohammad Ashraful making 61, Alok Kapali 44, and Khaled Mashud and Khaled Mahmud making 28 a piece.
Bangladesh will take some confidence from this victory as they move to Darwin to play Northern Territory Chief Minister's XI in another 3 day match.
