Boje: Turn for the Worst

South African left-arm spinner and lower order batsman Nicky Boje has suffered a broken leg and a badly damaged ankle during the match against England at Edgbaston.

Boje, whilst on the field for Martin van Jaarsveld, slipped awkwardly while attempting a run-out on the pitch square.

He suffered a fracture to his tibia (shin bone) and also ruptured the medial ligament in his ankle.

He is expected to undergo surgery as soon as possible and now faces and extended period on the sidelines.
