Maher Signs for Glamorgan

Australian World Cup Squad member Jimmy Maher has signed with Glamorgan as their second overseas player and a replacement for the injured Steve James.

Maher will be having his second stint at the county following a highly successful season in 2001.

Glamorgan captain James has a chronic knee injury which will force him out for the remainder of the English summer, and if surgery fails, his decorated career for the Welsh side will be over.

Maher joins Queensland team-mate Michael Kasprowicz as the counties second overseas player.
