Day 1: SL v President's XI

The first day of the Sri Lankans only tour match before the Test series against the West Indies was rained to an early completion today.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat and reached 46/1 at lunch. Jayasuriya was the only casualty, run out for 4 by David Bernard jr. No further play was possible and Atapattu (16) and Sangakkara (26) are the not out batsmen.

Play started half an hour late today but is expected to resume at the scheduled 10am tomorrow.
