Day 3 : SL v President's XI

The President's XI were bowled out for 296 today, replying to Sri Lanka's first innings of 299. The innings was anchored around a well-played 83 from 22-yr old allrounder Ryan Hinds.

Hinds got support from Ganga (54) and young wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh jr. (43). Baugh was totally at ease as he struck 5 fours and 1 six in his classy 55-ball knock. Dave Mohammed chipped in with 33 not out with 2 sixes and 1 four.

The pick of the bowlers was Samaweera with 3/56 but Thilan Thushura (2/43, Lokuarachchi (2-58) and Fernando (2-61) also contributed.

At stumps, Sri Lanka were 66/1 with Jayasuriya unbeaten on 44 and Dilshan (20) the only wicket to fall, off the last ball of the match.

The first Test begins on Friday at Beausejour Stadium.
