Chandana left out from Test

Leg spinner Upul Chandana's match-and-series winning knock on the second one-day international against West Indies could not win him a position in the test squad that will play two test.

Marvan Atapattu, who is captain of the one-day team, will only be assistant to Hashan Tilakratne as Sri Lanka opted to have separate captains for ODI and test.

Sri Lanka went for five pacemen in the 16-member squad - Chaminda Vaas, Prabath Nissanka and uncapped Thilina Thushara, Dinusha Fernando and Darshana Gamage. Dilhara Fernando's injury kept him out of the team.

Chandana and Naveed Nawaz will return home.

The squad includes Hashan Tillekeratne, Marvan Atapattu, Mahela Jayawardena, Sanath Jayasuriya, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Kumar Sangakkara, TM Dilshan, Chaminda Vaas, Muttiah Muralitharan, Tilan Samaraweera, Kaushalya Lokuarachchi, Kumar Dharmasena, Prabath Nissanka, Dharshana Gamage, Dinusha Fernando, Thilina Thushara.
