19yr old Taylor called up

Jerome Taylor will turn 19 years of age on the coming Sunday and may well have an early birthday celebration with a Test debut two days before. Taylor, who bowled impressively in his ODI debut in the 3rd ODI last week Wednesday, has been included in the 14-man squad for the 1st Test against Sri Lanka.

Daren Ganga returns after being dropped for the ODI series' against Australia and Sri Lanka and Wavell Hinds gets recalled to the Test team after a Man of the Series performance against the Australians. Corey Collymore rounds off the list of callups as he returns to the Test fray for the first time since 1999, when the Australians last toured. It was then that he played his only Test to date.

Another notable inclusion in the squad is that of Dillon whom the WICB stated they may be resting for the 3-match Test series. The first Test begins on Friday at the Beausejour Stadium.
