Vic Name Squad

There was no room for promising young batsman Michael Klinger as the Victorian Bushrangers announced their initial squad for the 2003/04 season.

Klinger, a former Australian Under 19 representative who captained the side when it featured current Australian player Michael Clarke, will nominate for the interstate transfer pool along with fellow de-listee, fast bowler Ian Hewett.

Injury prone Will Carr was also dropped from the 17-man squad, as were batsmen Simon Dart and David Plumpton, and leg break bowler Bryce McGain.

Exciting young 'keeper Adam Crosthwaite and Brad Knowles have been given rookie contracts, while Victoria has room for up to three more players to be added to its' squad by the 30th June deadline.
