Injury concerns for Flintoff

Andy Flintoff underwent a scan on Monday to uncover a suspected compressed nerve in the shoulder of his bowling arm. This has already ruled him out of the County class between Essex and his county, Lancashire. Some suspect that it may also keep him out of the team to take on Zimbabwe at Lords in the first Test, which begins next week Thursday.

He will have further tests done this week, and the ECB will therein decide whether he will be allowed to play in the National League matchup against Hampshire this weekend.
