Steve Waugh To Play On?
Sunday, May 18 2003Steve Waugh has hinted he would continue his Test career, at least as long as July's series against Bangladesh - the newest Test nation and the only one the 37-year-old has not faced.
If Steve did play on his would have the opportunity to complete the set of a Test 100 against every current Test playing nation, which currently only Gary Kirsten of South Africa holds.
Steve had completed the set when he hit 110 in the 2nd Test at Calcutta against Indian back on that now famous tour, however with the introduction of Bangladesh to the Test arena, ment that Waugh could no longer claim the accolade.
Commenting on the subject Steve Waugh said - "It would be great to play in Darwin and Cairns... they are historic Test matches. They are definitely worth thinking about,".
