Lawson out of WI ODI squad

Jermaine Lawson has been ruled out of the current ODI series between the West Indies and Australia. The Jamaican pacer is still hampered by the back strain which he picked up in the recently concluded 4th Test.

Lawson represents the third major injury in the West Indies rankings for the series already. He joins Chanderpaul and Jacobs on the bench. No word yet as to whether the WICB will name a replacement.

Lawson is hoped to recover in time to play against Sri Lanka when they arrive in the West Indies next month. The next ODI begins on Wednesday.
