Australia Defeat UWIVCXI

Australia has defeated the University of West Indies Vice Chancellors XI in a tour match in Barbados.

The UWIVCXI began the day at 2/19, ending the innings for just 162, with former Test batsman Philo Wallace the only batsman to make an impression with 53.

For the Australians, Stuart MacGill continued his good match, snaring 5/45 in the second innings. Brad Hogg took 2/34 while Glenn McGrath and Brad Williams took 1 wicket each.

Australia then chased down the remaining 95 with the loss of 4 wickets, with Michael Clarke making 47.

Chris Gayle opened the bowling for the University side, taking 1/7 with his off-breaks while Collins Obuya took 1/24.
