Day 1: Sri Lanka 'A' vs NZ

New Zealand had the work out in the field they needed before the 1st Test with Daniel Vettori and Paul Wiseman getting through a large amount of overs.

Sri Lanka 'A' were dismissed for 284 with Chandana batting at number 9 top scoring with 55.

Vettori had the best figures of 3-72 off 19 overs while Wiseman had 2/63 off 16.3 overs and Bond 2-35 off 13 overs. Tuffey, Butler and Oram took 1 wicket each.

Matthew Horne and Mark Richardson then saw New Zealand safely through to stumps at 4-0.
