West Indian Side: Third Test

The West Indies selectors have scrapped the 3 bowler theory adopted in the second Test, dumping pace spearhead Mervyn Dillon, Pedro Collins, Wavell Hinds, Dave Bernard and Marlon Samuels from the starting XI in Trinidad.

Ridley Jacobs failed a fitness Test on his injured groin, allowing Carlton Baugh Jr. his second match behind the stumps.

Into the side come opener Chris Gayle, Shiv Chanderpaul, Omari Banks, Jermaine Lawson and Tino Best.

Banks and Best, controversial omissions from the Trinidad Test, will both be making their debut of the group of Islands, with Banks the first cricket from his island to play for the West Indies.
