Gareth Breese to skipper Jamaica

Allrounder Gareth Breese will resume his captaincy charges of Jamaica for the 2004 West Indies limited overs championship, which starts later this month. It will be the first limited overs captaincy stint for Breese, as Robert Samuels led the team in last year's Red Stripe Bowl, but Breese has led the First Class team before.

As a right-handed batsman and offspin bowler, Breese has performed consistently for Jamaica over there years and has represented the West Indies once, in a Test match in India (2002). He spent 2004 playing County Cricket for Durham where he had a moderate season.
