Sarwan to miss OD series

A knee injury will keep West Indies vice-captain, Ramnaresh Sarwan, out of the 2004 West Indies regional one day tournament. This clears the way for senior batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul to resume his captaincy duties of Guyana.

Sarwan, an experienced international, will not require surgery on his knee, but rather is resting after a long stretch of cricket dating back to the West Indies tour of Zimbabwe in 2003.
