R Croft Caps Season Off With Awards
Wednesday, September 29 2004Glamorgan captain Robert Croft has been named the county's Player of the Year for 2004.
Croft led his team to victory in the Totesport League Division One for the second time in three years and also helped the side to gain promotion to Division One of the Frizzell County Championship.

Meanwhile seam bowler David Harrison took the Young Player of the Year award after taking 57 first class wickets and finishing top of the bowling averages and batsman David Hemp took the Clubman of the Year award voted by the players.
To cap of a fine season for the Welsh side they also won the Spirit of Cricket award voted by umpires for the fourth consecutive year, with Shane Warne's Hampshire side coming bottom.
