2020: Harvey blitzes Lancashire
Saturday, July 17 2004 Leeds: Yorkshire v Lancashire
Flintoff and Harvey turn up the heat in the roses match
Yorkshire have increased their chances of a spot in the quarter finals after an incredible assault from Ian Harvey who hit 108 from 59 deliveries.
He and Phil Jacques made light work of a challenging Lancashire total of 168.
Making his Twenty20 debut, Andrew Flintoff struck a magnificent 85 from 48 balls before hitting a powerful return catch to off spinner Andy Gray. He received little support from the lower order and the innings lost all momentum after his wicket. Despite posting a competitive score, it was obvious that with Harvey on form they needed more.
Lancashire 168
Flintoff 85, Gray 3-18
Yorkshire 170-2
Harvey 108, Jacques 39
