Kirby signs with Gladiators

Former Yorkshire pace bowler Steve Kirby, released only last month, has signed with Gloucestershire for the next English county season.

Kirby joins Kabeer Ali as the second migrant to the Bristol based county; Ali was recruited last month, after he was released by Worcestershire.

Kirby is on the back of a mediocre performance in the last season, picking up a mere 37 Championship wickets. However, he has tasted success before for the Yorks, in the 2003 season during which he picked up 67 wickets, his highest in a single season.
