Friday, July 30 2004

New Zealand fast bowler, Shane Bond has sustained yet another stress fracture which continues to put strain on his tormented yet successful international career. Bond, who broke onto the scene spectacularly in the 2001/02 season, has been out of the New Zealand team since the Bank Alfalah Cup in 2003.

Bond was included in the New Zealand Test squad which was whitewashed 3-0 in England recently, but did not play in any games and was flown back home with injury.

In 10 Tests, Bond has taken 43 wickets (24.30) and 51 wickets (19.00) in ODIs.
