Lehmann and Kasprowicz miss out

Places for Stuart MacGill and Shane Watson in the Australian Test XI, but Michael Kasprowicz and Darren Lehmann will miss out for the third Test against Pakistan. The visiting Pakistanis trail 2-0 in the 3-match series and Australia will be in search of the whitewash, playing a double-spinner attack of MacGill and Warne.

Lehmann has found runs hard to come by lately, averaging in the mid20s over his last 12 innings (26.67), so Watson will make his Test debut at the age of 23. Unlike Lehmann though, Kasprowicz some outstanding Test form last year and thus may feel aggrieved at his exclusion. The 32-year-old took 47 wickets at 23.74 over the course of the year.
