With the 2004 season only ending just over a month ago Kent have already begun their preparations for the 2005 season by organising three home practice matches, including two games against Derbyshire.The first game on Tuesday April 5 will see Hampshire visit the St Lawrence Ground in Canterbury for a 45-over match that will be played under normal totesport League rules.
Kent will then face Derbyshire in a three-day match (96 overs per day) starting on Thursday April 7 and another one-day match will follow that on Sunday April 10 against the same opponents.
Kent are not in action in the opening round of Frizzell County Championship matches and will instead face Cardiff UCCE, starting on April 13, before their opening totesport League game on April 17 sees them again face Derbyshire Phantoms at Derby.
