Jadeja's plea dismissed

Ajay Jadeja is most unlikely to wear the Indian colours again, after his plea seeking permission to be allowed to play international cricket was dismissed by the Delhi High Court.

Jadeja had filed a challenge against the High Court's order banning him from playing any competitive level cricket ever again. However, absence of any petitioners when the plea was taken up for hearing meant that there would be no change in the court ruling.

Jadeja was banned from all forms of cricket after having been found guilty of being involved in match fixing. He did return to domestic cricket after he had served the ban, but a petition from the Indian board against his participation in any form of cricket was considered and acted upon by the High Court.

Jadeja represented India in 208 ODIs, scoring 5359 runs at an average of 37.47, including six 100s. He wasn't as successful in Tests though; averaging 26.18 in the 15 matches he played.
