Muralitharan in doubt for NZ tour

Muttiah Muralitharan is to undergo urgent surgery for his troublesome shoulder in Australia during the next 24 to 48 overs to help avoid long-term tendon damage.

This surgery will rule Muralitharan out of all cricket for 10 weeks and places him in doubt for the two test series against New Zealand starting on April 4th and April 11th.

Murali will also hope that he comes through the surgery well enough so he can take up his contract with England country cricket side Lancashire.
