Another rain-affected day, as only 50 overs of play was possible on the first day of the second round match at Crab Hill. Trinidad and Tobago was sent in to bat in damp conditions after a delay of 3 hours and 20 minutes and closed play on 102/3.
Former West Indies Under-19 opener, Tishan Maraj was the key player in the events of the day, with a resilient 33 not out. The other batsmen to spend time in the middle were Sherwin Ganga (10), Daren Ganga (22) and Lendl Simmons (16). All got starts but failed to push on.
Ganga in particular received an outstanding delivery from Collymore for his dismissal after facing 67 deliveries in his innings.

Careful play was the order of the day for Jamaica as rain allowed 36.4 overs. The Jamaicans closed on 69/3, with opener Maurice Kepple (19 not out) and Tamar Lambert (0 not out) at the crease.
The wickets to fall were those of Shawn Findlay (1) to Deighton Butler, Donavan Pagon (23) and Lorenzo Ingram (11) to Rawl Lewis.

Guyana v. Leeward Islands

Keeping a perfect record of 3 for 3, the Guyana versus Leeward Islands game got off to a rainy start. In the 76 overs of play, the Leeward Islands pushed on to a respectable 237/5, with Stuart Williams looking good on his approach to a 25th First Class hundred. The veteran reached the close on 92, with Ridley Jacobs at side with 19.
Early wickets of captain Sylvester Joseph (0) and Shane Jeffers (4) went to Trevon Garraway, then Tonito Willett was dismissed by McGarell for 4. From 27/3, Runako Morton and Williams helped the score to 67, then the former was out for 33. Having hit 8 boundaries in his innings, Morton was caught at long-on off McGarrell.
Wilden Cornwall joined Stuart Williams and the two added a brisk 127 runs for the fifth wicket. The partnership was dominated by Cornwall, who scored 72 off 110 balls with 8 fours.
