Leeward Islands v. Jamaica
Kaiser Sports Club, Jamaica
Day 1

The Leeward Islands bowlers enjoyed the opening day of the 2005 Carib Beer Series, bowling out Jamaica for 188 just before stumps. The wickets were shared around nicely, and Kerry Jeremy (3/41), Omari Banks (3/51), Carl Simon (2/24) and Adam Sanford (2/38) all found form. Wilden Cornwall (0/17) was the only one wicketless.

The playing surface allowed for inconsistent bounce, and Jamaica found that out early. Kepple (1), Findlay (14) and Ingram (0) were out to leave the score 33/3. Donavon Pagon (44) and new captain Tamar Lambert (38) arrested the crisis with an 85-run stand, but when they were parted only Dave Bernard jr. (26) managed to show significant resistance.

Omari Banks claimed the key wickets of Pagon and Lambert, as well as that of Carlton Baugh Jr., caught at midwicket for 6.

Score Summary:
Jamaica 188 all out (88.5 overs)
Donavan Pagon 44, Tamar Lambert 38, Dave Bernard jr. 26
Kerry Jeremy 3/41, Omari Banks 3/51, Carl Simon 2/24, Adam Sanford 2/38
