Bangladesh v India
Second Test, Day 4
Chittagong, Bangladesh

India needed only four balls on Day 4 of the second Test to dismiss the final Bangladeshi batsman, so as to complete a 2-0 series victory. Number 11 Talha Jubair, who on Day 3 smacked five boundaries in a lost cause, was caught by Irfan Pathan off the bowling of Harbhajan Singh, so as to end the proceedings in the first over of the day itself.

Bangladesh lost by an innings and 83 runs, being bowled out for 124, after looking promising in the first innings of 333, though thanks largely to Mohammad Ashraful's record innings of 158 not out, which also earned him the Man of the Match. Irfan Pathan was named the Man of the Series, as a result of his 18 wickets in the two-match series.

The two teams now play in a three-match ODI series, starting Thursday at the same venue, before moving to Dhaka for the remaining two back-to-back matches on December 26 and 27. Former Bangladesh captain Khaled Mahmud has been recalled to the side, replacing Jubair from the Test squad.
