Inzamam out of Boxing Day Test

Still smarting from heavy defeat in the first Test match at Perth, Pakistan will have to face Australia in the second with further disadvantage. Captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the Boxing Day Test at the MCG with a back injury.

Inzamam struggled with his injury throughout the first Test, spending very little time on the field and registering a first-ball duck and 1 at the crease. Veteran batsman Yousuf Youhana will take over the captaincy and one of Asim Kamal or Yasir Hameed will come into the team.

In the Australian camp, it is still uncertain as to whether opener Justin Langer will be fit to play. Simon Katich is on standby.
