Cairns, Harris & Adams in ODI squad

New Zealand named the One Day International squad to contest the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy in a 3-match series against Australia, starting on December 1st. The squad features ODI specialists Chris Cairns and Chris Harris, as well as a return for seaming allrounder Andre Adams.

Darryl Tuffey, Michael Papps and James Franklin have not been named in the 14-man party, as there are still questions over their fitness. The players out from the Test squad are rather predictable - Mark Richardson, Chris Martin and Paul Wiseman.

Commenting on the composition of the squad, coach John Bracewell stated, "This is a squad that has performed pretty well during the last 12 months. They have hardly lost a one-day match, and there is a degree of confidence."
